BigBlueButton is for synchronous (in real time) discussions or lectures between students and instructors. When you use BBB, the emphasis is on the real-time communication between people. Any recording you make of the session is secondary, and will appear in your course after a delay – but it could take hours or days depending on the load, so it shouldn’t be the main reason why you’d use BBB.
